State health services (Okypy) executive director Christis Loizides has resigned to take up duties for a multinational, the Cyprus News Agency reported on Monday.
It quoted an announcement from Loizides saying he has informed the president and vice president of Okypy of his intention to leave his post by the end of the month.
“I will continue my professional career at a multinational company. With total respect for and confidence in the medical, nursing, paramedical and administrative staff of the organisation I am leaving Okypy certain that we will be successful in managing the consequences of the pandemic,” he said.
“I remain at the disposal of the organisation for anything that will be required for the smooth transition of my responsibilities and duties,” he concluded.
